Recovery of biogas

The energy available in the biogas can be used in various ways. The optimal recovery depends on the context of the project : characterisation of the production, identification of the users, regulatory and economical conditions, environmental impacts, etc… Each method of recovery has its specific constraints.

In Switzerland, for example, the following methods are possible : heat production by direct heating, production of electricity and heat by combined heat and power system (CHP, as engines, turbines), injection in the natural gas network or the fabrication of biogas-fuel.
